In Michael's most recent position, he began by building a young adult ministry geared towards ages 18-30 that meets on Sunday evenings at 5pm. The group runs 30-40 people on a weekly basis as of now. In addition to that, he worked under the worship pastor on a weekly basis directing the band via “talkback” microphone to in-ear monitoring systems in all live worship sets on Wednesdays and Sundays. He led the band from a bass guitar, a keyboard, a rhythm electric and/or acoustic, and sometimes from the drums. He handled all of the click/stems for worship, as well. He took over the video department in June of 2010 and managed a weekly volunteer schedule for Wednesday and Sunday services. He also handled all video/graphic design for marketing events and ministries within the church. Michael was very involved with the youth ministry as well. He would train young musicians to be involved in worship on a weekly basis to potentially get them involved in adult services on Sundays.
Prior to joining the staff of Spring First Church, Michael was a foundational member of the up and coming worship band, After The Well. ATW still travels the nation performing music. Michael still contributes creatively to the band and occasionally is a guest performer.
In addition, Michael assists with music, media, sound and creative elements for weddings and various other special events.
